I do not understand Libraries

I need help, I am told, with Libraries.

I have a music library of about 3500 albums. I have gone to a great deal of trouble to be sure that I have all of the album art because I use it with my Zune software and my four 120 gig Zune players.

All of my music and video files are on an external hard drive. When I look at my music album files in Windows Explorer, I see the files of music tracks; but I do not see the files for .jpg, .gif, etc.

What do I need to know or do to see these files along with the .mp3 files themselves in each album folder?

They are hidden. If you really want to see them, in Explorer, go to "Tools" > Folder Options > click the "View" tab, then check the radio button for "Show Hidden files, folders, and drives", then click "OK".

Thank you so much, that did the trick. Now, if album art is missing, I can go get it, instead of sucking off some music web site.

Or could have done what I did...store the album art directly in the MP3s.
Windows Explorer would then give the MP3s thumbnails.

You can also do this...

WindowsKey+R -> CMD -> OK.
Opens a command shell.
Type the drive letter for your music collection followed by a colon and hit Enter.
Now type CD <path> where <path> is the top folder in your music collection... for example CD \MY\Music
The prompt should change to indicate you are now at the top of your collection...
Type DIR to be sure...
Now... once you're there type attrib -h *.* /s and that will unhide all the files for you.
