I get BSOD playing DOTA 2, atikmpag.sys...

Hi!
Most of the time it would start off with "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered". monitor goes black and I need to task manager to close the game. Than the BSOD happens after.
I try to unistal my drivers with DDU and then instal 14.4 WHQL , but it BSOD again.
I run MEM test and video card stress with Furmark, the temp. was 65 highest and it didnt even blink.
What else i can try to fix this?

Hello and welcome to Sevenforums!rb:

The problem is caused by your graphics driver. Run Display Driver Uninstaller(DDU)
Make sure you tick the Uninstall C:/AMD and C:/NIVIDA folders while you are in DDU when you are done running DDU install your graphics driver again and you should be good to go! Remember to remove Catalyst and only install the graphics driver.

Hi!
I do exscatly what you told me to do. I unistall AMD and NVIDIA with DDU, then i install only AMD display driver. I turned the game on, play for like 5 min and then its crashes again, i used task manager to exit,start game again and the game was super slow.

I already do that and the higest temp. was 65 celsius degrees, also i runed MSI Afterburner and put overclocks to zero, even that didnt help....

Hi!
First of all sorry for waiting. I just reinstal my windows and instal only drivers, Dota2 and google chrome.I start the game and its crash again... .. i run this test .. short generic - pass, long generic - pass...i try to change my RAM with another but its crashes again...

Please tell me what drivers you installed and where you got them and if you have run all of the Windows updates. Also, did your computer come from the factory with the Operating System it has on it now?

Would youplease try to reinstall your graphics driver and only install the Display Driver going by the instructions of this please. I think pretty similar to what you have been doing.

I am going to give you some links that will help you get a good clean install and not have any drivers you don't need that will conflict with other drivers. Download a WHQL driver from http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-cards/329659-latest-amd-catalyst-video-driver-windows-7-a.html . Once you have them downloaded, uninstall you current driver from control panel. next clean up any left over drivers from following this tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/83814-drivers-clean-left-over-files-after-uninstalling.html and select only ATI Display Drivers. After you have done that and rebooted, install the new driver, only select custom install and install only what you have to. Very few people need most of what they include. You do not need the audio/HDMI drivers as you already have that in your Motherboard drivers. Unless there is some reason you need them, the only thing you really need is the Display Driver.

Please open an elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

Also, please go to device manager and tell me if there are any icons with yellow Triangles on them. If there are either tell me what they are or better, post a screenshot of that category expanded.

Hi!
I set my sistem to small memeory dumps now, sry about that. I instaled my drivers with driver pack solution and for display driver i used WHQL (instal only AMD Display driver). I had my windows update on last OS, but it crashes again, I will download it now and will be instaled as soon as download is completed. My computer come with same OS that im using now.
I reinstal my grapich driver again as you said, but no help (crashes again). I used sfc /scannow and first time i needed to restart , next time when i run it windows found no integrity violations.

In my usb port i have pluged in: mouse, razer kraken headset and external fan system. I tried to unplug all of it and then try, but no help its crhashes again. Now its start to crash at random time ( crhashes two times while I typing this).

Melja, just a couple of things I don't understand. What is driver pack solution and where did you get it? You should be installing drivers, including graphics drivers from Toshiba. Also, when you said you had Windows Updates installed on your last OS, does that mean you did not do a clean install on this computer? I am just trying to understand. Your Laptop, I am assuming uses switchable graphics, is that correct?
