Hi Drugo,

Try the following one by one.

1) Disable IPv6 in your network adapter properties, see if that helps.

2) Run the following command in an elevated command prompt in Windows 7:

netsh interface tcp set global rss=disabled
netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
netsh int ip set global taskoffload=disabled

3) Switch to OpenDNS: In your IPv4 properties, change "Preferred DNS server" to 208.67.222.222

I would consider uninstalling Driver Cleaner.NET. I've never heard of this program, so I've just checked the site. They are woefully out of date. For example, the latest NVidia graphics driver there is 181.22 whereas directly from NVidia themselves it is 197.45 (I know that there is 197.75 available, but that is only for the new 400 series cards).

no 197.75 is good for the 8 series as well. I installed it on my PC today in fact to see if it would cheer up a F@H GPU client issue, and the screen image aligned itself rather nicely. In the event that it was installed to someone's pc on the network via my "terminal", ixnay what I said. It's an imaginary scenario that I have no knowledge of, but I can see how it might spruce up my screen display, although I would also think it'd tear the card to shreds after a while.

So, I think that the 197.75 driver works for the 8 series too. Or there is an unhappy 400 series card out on the network somewhere, and a remote connection to my pc that I'm unaware of...

but like I said, those are imaginary scenarios. I think 0.0.

Those are various TCP settings. E.g. autotuning optimizes window size for each network connection and theoretically improves network throughput. Task offloading happens when the TCP protocol hands over certain tasks being carried out by the processor to the network card, which improves performance. Receive side scaling (RSS) allows network load to be spread across multiple CPUs.

However, the implementation doesnt always go the intended way and internet problems can often be resolved by disabling these settings.

I'm not doubting you, I'm only stating what it says on the NVidia website. It might well work with the 8 series, although it only officially supports the new 400 series of cards. That is not to say that a subsequent driver release might support both series.

You can revert to default settings by running the following commands in elevated CMD:

netsh interface tcp set global rss=enabled
netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal
netsh int ip set global taskoffload=enabled
