Hi everyone. I had FF jam up on me this morning and now all my saved passwords are missing.

I went to my profile via- %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

and found like 8 files, and a few duplicates too.

I read that you can restore them with the Key3 and signons.sqlitefiles.
However i have no idea which ones are good and which corrupt.

I ended up deleting all of them. All other functions of my profile, including cookies, favorites are OK.
FF will still ask to save passwords, but whew! There must be a way to recover them.

I gather the profile is still in here somewhere, or all my favorites and such would have been missing if i deleted the whole profile.

I tried resetting FF first, no luck, but i DID get a dialog box stating that all my cookies, favorites and passwords were imported, (or saved) but still no passwords appeared.

I am running FF 19.02

Any help would be appreciated!!

thanks:cry:

Ok, I downloaded and installed the application.

When I run it the dialog box says:
Firefox Libraries loaded successfully.
Initialization failed.
Please make sure if key3.db and cert8.db files are present in the profile directory.

So, I went to my profile and:
1) It seems to be there. This time just one file.
2) the key3 and cert files also are there.

The address is:

C:\Users\robert macmichael\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\l21lidtv.default-1362838110719

When i click "load from profile" and i search I cannot find the "AppData" listed.
Please see screenshots
Also, while the necessary files are there, they are dated from yesterday and today. This may mean they are empty of the required information anyway. And since I deleted all profiles last night, I may as just well start saving passwords.

I have decided to start saving all my passwords, rather than try to recover them.

Thanks to all for their assistance!!:D
