I would uninstall it first, reboot and then download and run this Fix It: CVE-2013-3893: Fix it workaround available - Security Research & Defense - Site Home - TechNet Blogs

Then run a full scan with Malwarebytes, Avast boot-time scan (if you have 32 bit) and Super Anti Spyware again.

Let us know how performance is after doing this.

Greg hi.. Do I just download those FIX IT items.. then click to run the 1st one .. then go back and run the second one ?
I'm not really sure what I need to be doing here.

I have un-install that file I was almost sure it needed this... then I rebooted the pc.
My pc is the 64 bit.

Greg I downloaded both of thos Fix it items..I wasn't sure what to do next.

This was a program in your Control Panel>Programs and Features that you uninstalled already, correct?

If so then just download the correct Fixit for 64 bit, right click to Run as Admin (if it gives you that choice) or Open, follow the on-screen prompts to run it until it confirms it is completed - usually with some reporting choices.

Then I'd run the 3 scanners mentioned again to check that all infection is cleared, followed by SFC /SCANNOW Command to see if any System Files are damaged.

Let us know how this goes.

You mean you uninstalled the Program in Control Panel>Programs and Features? A file is something else.

The scans should check for residuals but you might look at both of your C:/Program Files to see if anything is in there to delete.

Oops .....that was showing in my program files.. ADD/Remove..
YES I uninstalled it.
There was nothing else in there I'm NOT familiar with being there.
Oh dear I so hope I've not caused another problem.

Sounds like you removed a big problem.

Now run full scans with Malwarebytes, Avast and Super Anti Spyware again.

Then run SFC /SCANNOW Command

I dont' know if you did it yet but there were also steps given to establish a Clean Boot, cull the logs for repeat errors, and use the System Resources to Check for Problems/Solutions from Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7.

Once you do all of that you can watch performance closely to see if you want to do a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which is the same for retail. I would delete all partitions to get it cleanest if you do.

from there what must I type in the little box... to get it to run that task for me in the black screen .. help please.

Sorry Lady but you've lost me. Are we talking about SFC /SCANNOW Command
here? I don't see anything about Task Manager there.

Did you already run the 3 infection scans again? Do those first.

Then you'd type CMD in the Start Search box, rightclick result to Run as Admin.

Then copy and paste in box

sfc /scannow

Press Enter.

Greg right you are.. I knew how to get this in case it was needed.
I didn't know how to do those others you had ask me to do.....

MY I E 10 isn't working properly.. when I click my outlook mail I see a long row of white looking dots running across the page...if I can even get a e-mail to open I get a tiny message I E had a problem it must close now.. and it closed...or I had to click close. Chrome is working fine so far today... ( I'm using it to communicate with you here.)
All was ok on the scan.. the box closed

Can you post back a screenshot of the issue with IE10? Dots running across the top might be hanging progress bar. Let us see.

In any case I'd reset the browser from Internet Options>Advanced tab. Choose everything to get fullest reset.

Have you run full Malwarebytes, SAS and Avast scans again yet? What are results?

What were SFC results?

I'm out doing 50 mile bike ride and gym for awhile.

That shouldn't work that way, it sounds like you didn't run the command in an elevated state.

It should stay open while scanning and give you results at the end.

Try it again, following #5 in this tutorial,

sfc /scannow

I just completed running Malwarebytes / Full scan took almost 2 hrs to complete.. 11 objects were found I quarantined those.. rebooted.

I'm going to go do SAS / Avast once again, be back to report.

What were SFC results?
Nothing found ...

After all these programs are run and completed.. don't you think I should then reset my browser?

I E 10 is now working once again.. on MSN home page... Outlookmail is still not running smoothly... maybe soon. when I clink on a link it doesn't seem to open... that maybe caused by not having the correct search item in those Manage Add-ons

derek.... I don't know how to do this thing.. I have Command prompt small black screen down at the bottom of my pc screen... I can open it but it doesn't say ADM.. anywhere on it..

Derek I used a desktop view for Windows 8, that I chose instead of using all those tile things ,
which I didn't understand how to use. plus ,
My MSN page didn't have the bar a cross the top for me to get where I wanted to go....
such as File, Edit. View, Favorites, Tools, Help
