I Need to Forcibly Reinstall USB Drivers!

So this is now the second time this has happened to me.

First time I gave up and reinstalled Windows. I do not want to do this again.

I was trying to clean up a device driver, after unplugging the device, so I enabled device manager to view unplugged devices. While I was at it, I removed all the rest of the unplugged devices, figuring there would be no harm in a little "spring cleaning"

Well apparently I removed something I shouldn't have, as now EVERY USB device I plugin in gives a half-chime several times instead of the full chime (this is what usually happens with a broken device)... I'm talking flash drives, mice, keyboards, whatever. Doesn't matter. It doesn't work. Windows says no driver can be found - which is STUPID because these are standard plug and play drivers!

If I plug them into my USB 3.0 port (which has its own non-standard drivers installed), it works fine.

Is there some way to purge all the hardware drivers so Windows will automatically reinstall them, and thus fix this USB problem? I would really hate to have to reinstall again just because of this stupid problem.

Hell drf mate what is your motherboard have got some specs but not all. Personally I like to download drivers from the manufacturer rather than leave it to Windows - choice is yours of course.

Well, I had to reinstall Windows. Nothing I tried worked.

I even did a Sysprep and let it remove all the drivers and reinstall them, still had this problem. I would love to know what causes it!!
