icacls trustedinstaller fails

icacls cannot set any parameters for trustedinstaller
Running command prompt as administrator
Works fine with any other user

e.g.
icacls \temp\new_directory /t /grant trustinstaller:f
trustinstaller: No mapping between account names and securi
Successfully processed 0 files; Failed processing 1 files

Hi David and welcome to W7 Forums

Try this:

icacls <path> /grant "NT Service\trustedinstaller:(f)"

where <path> is the location to which you want to apply the changes to the permission. For safety reasons, please use the absolute and not relative path here.
