I have a HP iMedia 2770 with W7 and 2Gb, the maximum for the PC, of memory. Since installing W7 Pro both Firefox and IE8 have tended to slow down dramatically after a few minutes of use, seemingly searching for ages for pages but never finding them. Neither will shut down and if I click to open a new FF or IE they will not open; clicking on Windows Task Manager under Services will show FF or IE open and using a lot of memory and if I have tried to open a second one of either them then they appear but using much less memory while CPU and Physical memory usage is minimal. I have to reboot to get back onto the Internet.
Frequently (once aday) when using FF or IE8 the computer shuts down with a BSoD. For this post I tried to attach an example of a dmp file but despite being logged on as administrator, W7 refuses to allow me to add the dmp files to the post as I don't have permission to open the files and need to contact the file owner or administrator to gain permission. I do not know how to overcome that.
Using CCleaner before I shut down I usually have somewhere in the region of 250,000kb of Memory Dumps and some 80,000kb of System - Temporary Files. Is that normal?
Lastly, W7 seesm to install drivers with every boot up, which suggest that it is not remembering drivers - this is the case even though I do not detach equipment and so external HDD, scanner, printer, etc are always attached.
I use ZA with with Forcefield and also have PC Doctor on my computer - belt and braces!
Any ideas for overcoming these issues woudl be appreciated. Going from XP to W7 appears to have been a massive mistake! :(

DMP file re IE8 & Firefox causing BSoD

Thanks for pointing me to the link on how to copy and zip the DMP file. Here is an example of what happened when I logged back on to FF just a short while ago to read replies to my post and was dumped out with the BSoD.
