OK this is a very odd problem indeed. I installed the Internet Explorer 9 Beta on my desktop computer, and loved it. So, the next day I decided to put it on my laptop. It runs fine, only it is causing a very odd problem. The "calendar" desktop gadget no longer displays a calendar, just the orange background. I tried reinstalling the gadget but that did not help. If I revert back to IE8, the problem goes away. I use the calendar on my desktop computer with IE9 and it works fine, so why does it mess with the one on my laptop? More importantly, why is my internet browser even having an effect on my desktop gadgets? Any help would be appreciated. I understand beta programs arent perfect, but I thought this particular issue was ver yinteresting. Im attaching a screenshot of the problem so you can see what it looks like.

I don't have the answer, but this isn't the first time a new version of IE has played rough with sidebar gadgets. IE8 broke a few when it came out too. They would get weird pinkish outlines and such.

IE9 broke a nice gadget I use all the time, called "Top Process". It gets all scrambled up and unreadable.

Sorry I couldn't help, but it felt good to whine about it...:D

There are several threads here on this forum where gadget problems were traced to IE 9. It is a beta, but you'd hope they have a fix for it. A Guy
