Solved IE9 installing instead of IE 8

Hey i would like to reinstall IE 8 after removing and then reinstalling IE 9
But now even when i chose IE 64 bites win 7 it automatically installs IE9
Via Microsoft site

Is there anyway i could access the original ie installation file on my oem
I don t have a Win 7 dvd where i could get the file from as i have an ACER laptop
and Windows files are on my harddrive.

Is there anyway to trigger these files ? as was possible in xp

Actually, you will find no version for Windows 7, only for XP, Vista, and Server 2008. You have to uninstall IE9 to get IE8 back.

If you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7 on your computer, you can install Internet Explorer 9 to replace your existing version of Internet Explorer. After you install Internet Explorer 9, you can uninstall it to restore the previously installed version of Internet Explorer.

Uninstall IE9

You can then hide the IE9 update, or use the IE9 update blocker toolkit
