I got a new MSI laptop one year ago. I created a USB Win7-64 Pro install stick. Since the new laptop came with Win10, I re-installed Win7 (a year ago) using the USB stick. I would like to re-install Win7, but the USB stick will not allow me to. When Win7 install begins, I get a pop-up message that tells me to Load a Driver. It says a required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing.
I figured the USB needed to be updated, so I downloaded a new Win7-64 Pro with SP1 ISO. I also downloaded the current MSU with all updates. I also downloaded RT7 Lite-64 and followed the tutorial on this site to create the bootable USB. In fact I did this to two USB sticks. The problem is that both give me the same error message about the missing driver (at the start of the install).
Any ideas what can be happening, and how to fix this?
