Hello,

Bit of background info:
I have just purchased a new Acer and 23" Samsung monitor last week. This morning Windows did an update and I noticed when I opened PhotoShop, the message '
Samsung - Natural Color Pro 1.0 ICM" appears defective'. I have googled a few fixes and tried various new color profiles (Adobe RGB) etc, which will get rid of the message, but I am stuck with an odd problem...

In Windows Explorer, every new colour image I open and resave in PhotoShop looks like a coloured negative? For example, a picture with a girl and red background will have the girl's skin look black/grey and the red background look aqua.

Previous images look normal. When I open the strange looking image in photoshop it is fine.

Any help appreciated.

Specs:
Windows 7
NVidia GeForce GT320 1024mb

If your GT320 drivers were updated in this package I'd roll back the driver and see if the issue resolves, it could be the newer driver is not right for your system, all drivers are not created equal.

hi Seven7Newbie, and welcome to sevenforums,

i've got a samsung monitor too, and windows update delivered a faulty colour profile for the display. the windows generic default works much better for me in photoshop, explorer and the picture viewers. this has been a problem since the RC days - you would have thought either samsung or microsoft have noticed by now, but no...

you need to delete the faulty profile.

start typing color (one day americans will learn how to spell ) into the search-box on the start menu, then select color management from the top.

this will open up a new dialogue allowing you to delete the samsung colour profile.

let us know if it works. :)
