Hello there
I know that most updates can be installed manually by issuing the command pkgmgr /ip /m:filename.cab.
In the recommended updates section, there are 2 updated drivers for my soundcard and video card.
if I download the cab file manually and try to install it using this method, it won't work.
Next I tried extracting the cab file using winrar and installing the driver via the device manager. The driver installed correctly, but when I next went to check for updates, it still showed the driver in the list of optional updates.
Is there a correct way of installing the driver manually?
Thanks.
