Hi

I had double RAMs (2x1GB) of Crosshair and I bought 2GB additional Kingston 2GB RAMs. When I put all these RAMs together in the mainboard - computer won't start at all. When I push power button CPU cooler is working and that's all what is happening. Computer won't even load till BIOS.
But when I put one of Crosshair and Kingston RAM (3GB in all) it works. Any recommendations for solution?

Looks like your motherboard supports a maximum of 4GB. Please post your hardware details.

Windows 7 32 bit operating system supports a maximum of 4GB only, but it really uses about 3.5GB.

Try one 2GB and if it works keep another 2GB. if it works then this is the maximum windows can recognise.
If it does not work, remove one 2GB and insert one 1GB and try.

How much memory can Windows 7 32-bit support

Hi rraod,

my computer's hardware consists of:
AMD Athlon x2 5050E cpu
Asus M2N-E SLI motherboard
Nvidia 7600GT video card
Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800mhz 1GB
Kingston DDR2 800mhz 2GB

One important thing to mention is that before Corsair RAM I had the same model Kingston 2x1GBs so it is how I decided to buy some more Kingston RAMs.

Thank you for your reply, btw.

In that case, just install 2x2GB matching RAM modules.

Forget the Crosshair and buy another 2Gb Kingston RAM stick to go with the one you've already got.

Make sure you install them in matching colour sockets.
