I am currently trying to install steam but it wasnt to install in the ProgramFiles X 86 folder even though I am running X 64. Should I change so it installs to the normal Program Files or does it not matter?

So Steam was installed to Program Files x86? Or vice-versa?

Either way that shouldn't be a problem

hi joseph, and welcome to sevenforums,

steam should be in the x86 folder, as it's a 32 bit app.

when you install software, windows will know whether or not it's 64bit.

if the software is 64bit, it will be installed into the plain 'program files' folder.

32bit progs go into 'program files (x86)'.
