Installing Windows 7 in Windows 8 PC

Can anyone help with me install Win7 in my Packard Bell iMedia iMdS2885 Desktop



I have changed the boot menu, when I try to boot from the Win7 DVD I can hear the disk spinning, I choose to boot from the DVD drive, but it freezes.

As it starts to load from the DVD it just freezes, I've tried this with 4 different Win7 installation DVDs, these have worked fine on other PCs.

I'm trying to take this PC to Win7, though it came with Win8 and was upgraded to Win10.

I have tried loading from DVD many times, and after clean install - but it always freezes.

Anyone know how to deal with this and load the Win7 disk so I can install it?

I faintly remember that you have to set the BIOS to legacy mode. And then there was a second setting that I do not remember. Maybe someone else can chip in.

And if nothing works, you can always run it in a virtual machine.

Hi,
First thing you would need to do is disable fast startup inside win-10
Fast Startup - Turn On or Off in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums
Then Winkey+x or right click the start button/ Power/ shutdown.

Depending on the bios options
OS Type would need to be anything but uefi only.
Unless you want to go through that

Otherwise Secure boot would need to be disabled.
Although if you see CSM it would still need to be enabled.
