Hi all! I just wanted to share a quick fix that I found after nearly pulling my hair out.

The Story and Problem:

We got some shiny new Windows 7 laptops for Christmas and after eagerly wrenching them from the box we found that we had a problem.

Our new 7 machines would connect to google, perform searches but it wouldn't go to any results or any typed addresses. Network diagnostics couldn't figure it out and it claimed it all worked well and fine. WRONG!!!

The Solution:

I changed the gateway to WPA2-AES. Reset the network properties and presto! Problem solved!

Interesting and thanks for the information. Would you mind telling us what you switched it from, was it WEP?
