Usually, the Stereo Mix is set as the default recording device. Then any device, mic, or line in, can be used. Also with Stereo Mix set you can record audio from the internet (what you hear on the speakers). Setting to Mic only limits what you can record.

Also, in Microphone properties, do you have the "Levels" set for the mic? If the level is set to zero you would not hear anything.

Try using an external mic to see if that works. If it does, that suggests the internal mic is defective or possibly the wiring disconnected.

It used to work but now it did not. Is the any other way i can try to fix it? maybe checking the driver or any digital way? Because i do not possess any external mic to try that. :)

No way that I know of other than disassembly of the PC to check wiring to the speakers.

Check Acer to see if they have a service manual or something that details how to do that. There may be something on Youtube on how to take it apart. I had an Acer laptop and the keyboard was bad, I found how to replace the keyboard on Youtube.

I would say check to see if drivers are up to date, if not find the newest version.
