Internal speakers/headphones issue...

When I plug my headphones into my computer my internal speakers aren't turning off. Can anyone help me with this?

Hello and welcome Twisted mate the phones jack usually has a cut out switch for the speakers as it looks like you have a fairly well used machine there mate I am guessing the socket is worn to the point where the speaker switch is not being thrown. see pic
