I bought a "new" laptop off amazon in September 2014 with Windows 7 on it and I use it at my university and I use it at home. I have no problems getting my Wi-Fi at home to work its always at school like for say I will turn on my laptop at school and it refuses to connect automatically even when its set to and after I finally open up IE it starts going slow and after about 5 minutes or so it will cut me off, how can I fix this I am sick of this I have no issues with my home Wi-Fi as I can connect just fine at home

Hi there,

A public hotspot like your school's Wi-Fi can cause a huge amount of traffic/bottleneck due to so many students trying to connect at the same time, especially if most of them are utilizing the bandwidth heavily. There's not much that you can do, if you can afford to pay extra for a mobile hotspot, it's probably a doable option.
