Internet Does not Work on Start Up

When I start my PC my Internet does not work and the icon in the taskbar has the Red cross sort of thing across it. It says something like No connectivity or something I think.

However as soon as I restart my PC it starts working perfectly. Why is this happening? Why does it never start on the first start up
?

Do you know the manufacturer's name of your network adapter? Have you tried upgrading the driver? Sounds like a driver problem. Has it been this way since you installed &7 ?

Not sure about the adapter. Drivers are yes updated though. Used a driver updating software that also updated this.

Yes this happens only in Windows 7.

Running dual boot with XP and does not happen when I load that..
