Internet drops when downloading

AFAIK, latest ASUS drivers is 6.30.223.228 on 2/5/14
Go to ASUS downloads for your wireless NIC and update your drivers if yours is earlier than this.

Also, update your router's firmware to the latest if available.

I'm just guessin but it can also be due to PCIE's Link State power management being enabled + medium power saving on WiFi thus making your ASUS NIC slow down.

According to the ASUS website, the driver for my specific network card is up to date, I cant find anything about that driver on the page for my card?
Also, how do i go about doing that with the router? Not good with networking at the best of times haha.

I find it strange that this exact same setup ran the internet with no issues just 1 month ago before i needed to reformat so I'm not sure if it is a driver issue, But once i can find out how to do it ill do it just to be sure. Thanks for the suggestion

Can you type this on the cmd and post a screenshot:

netsh wlan show interfaces

netsh wlan show drivers

Lets elimnate the firewall turn it off and do a test whether you can download or not.

Let us know.
do not forget to re-enable firewall after test.
