Internet Explorer 11 wont install

I'm trying to update to Windows Internet Explorer 11. I've downloaded it but it wont install. Error code 9C59 windows update dt000. Windows Update tells me I need no other updates.

Thanks thrashzone but I can't look at that because I have no IE11.
georgeks I'm afraid I don't understand that, e.g what does "from an elevated Command Windows" mean?

Not sure what you mean ie11 installed is not a requirement
But the top quoted updates are a requirement to being able to install ie11
Looks like the quoting got a tad scrambled to say the least

The interesting part of the errror message is dt000, relates to a permissions problem.

Well that explains it
You are running a counterfiet install, which MS has picked up.
You have used an OEM sticker code on a computer built before W7 was released.
I suspect it was sold with Vista judging by the Slic table entry.

Until you install a genuine OS no further help can be provided.

I was running XP and had a new bigger hard drive fitted by the shop and they said I needed Windows 7 to run it so thats what they installed. Are you saying they gave me an illegal copy?

as i said the product key in use has been "lifted" from another computers COA sticker.
IF you paid for W7 then demand a refund
He should have installed either a System Builder or Retail version.

Was this custom build done on a oem manufactures case like an Acer/ Dell/.... case and they just replaced the mother board when the custom build took place ?
It might be an honest mistake by whom ever replaced the hdd ??

As torchwood has pointed out; one can not have these and be a legal install of Windows 7.
It really doesn't matter what hardware is being used.

To the best of my knowledge you can not have a (SLP channel) before Windows 7 was issued to the manufactures for distribution.
If I remember correctly Windows 7 was released to the manufacture in July or August of 2009.
