Solved internet explorer

having a problem using internet explorer and chrome. Keeps coming up as proxy server not respondering.
I don't even know what this means. Do I need this? If yes how do I go about fixing it. thank you

Take a look at this fix over at the Microsoft Community, it seems to have help quite a lot of people with the same issue as you.

thank you for your help, I disabled proxy and now every thing up and running

I had that message once, the Internet worked in the morning but in the afternoon it stopped. I Googled this problem and this video cured the problem.
