Internet (Wifi & Ethernet) suddenly stopped - Linux & VMs working!

I've never seen this before - most people come to ME for help.

Windows 7 - I am unable to connect to anything on the internet.

My wireless card and my Ethernet card connect just fine to the router, but that is where it ends.
No, it is NOT my router blocking me.

I multi boot my machine, and I can boot a 2nd version of windows 7 and it connects just fine.
I can boot into Linux, and it connects just fine.
I can boot into the OS that is not connecting and start a Windows VM with a bridged connector, and the VM connects just fine THROUGH the wifi & Ethernet cards on the HOST that isn't getting out to the internet.

I've tried:
Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog
Reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
Reset IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log
Reboot the machine.

. . . that doesn't work.

I'm at a loss here.

Suggestions?

Thanks for the help.

Standby, I'll remove the VPN. I actually have 2 different ones (Both paid for, not 'Free'). Never had an issue for years, but I'll remove just the same and report back.

SUCCESS!

Thanks So Much for the assistance Samurai.

There was something off with the VPN. I uninstalled it and instantly I was back on line.
I reinstalled it, and everything is fine.

That VPN had a "firewall" component to it . . . but it shouldn't have been active when it was shut down.
Uninstalling (and subsequently reinstalling) it is functioning properly (firewall enabled or not - that feature is not staying active when the application is closed).

I was in Shanghai a few days ago when I used it last - maybe it was VPN jetlag :o

Again, Thanks for the assistance!

Marked as Solved.
