Is it possible to disable the Windows 7 clock?

Hi everyone - I'm interested to know whether its possible to disable the system clock? We all know applications and websites can get access to our time zone, etc. I often use anonymous browser clients such as TOR & JonDo to protect my online privacy. For example, I might be set an IP address in Russia, but live in America. The thing is - websites can still access our time zone on the computer
so they will I'm not in Russia but actually in xxxx state in America. I don't want to change the time to something random as I've heard this can destabilize the computer and its applications. So is it possible to disable it? If not - is there a browser configuration to block access to it? I did attempt running it under Sandboxie but that doesn't work either.

TD7BA, As you say, to change the time to a random date/time would be a disaster for your system.

I Would not recommend randomly changing the system time/date.

Of course unless you make images of your system before you do this, Even then your system could change it back to the correct one without you recognizing it. Not a good idea..
Unless you like the thrill of re-installing your operating system.

Don't you find Tor extremely slow? I don't think the system clock can be disabled. It is used for many other activities.

I think that deleting history, cookies etc. as you exit a browser should afford you more than enough protection. Disabling the computer clock seems like paranoia to me. I think even the most secure sites like Banks, a Nation's Defense Establishments etc. don't do that.

Websites are not getting your timezone unless they have Javascript send it back. Javascript runs locally on your machine thus it is able to get it.
