So I just purchased this computer a few days ago and it's on it's way. I knew it came with Windows 8, but I just thought I'd do a fresh install of 7 upon receiving it for obvious reasons - that is until I noticed that Windows 8 was the only operating system they provide drivers for. I was wondering if it was still possible to install them on 7, or even run this computer on 7 at all. Thanks in advance!

Win7 is driver-complete in the installer and quickly updated by running all rounds of Important and Optional Windows Updates with reboots, after enabling Automatically get recommended drivers and updates for your hardware (Step 3).

Put your wireless driver in your backup so you can get online quickly to do the updates. After all of them are done there likely will only be a couple of missing drivers. Win7 can use Win8 drivers.

I'd suggest after turning off Secure Boot you shrink C to create a Logical partition to test install Win7 on so you can decide between the two.

More here on turning off Secure Boot: Downgrade Windows 8 to Windows 7

Then Win7 must be installed in UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) - Install Windows 7 with - Windows 7 Forums from DVD or using a UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows
