Is there a way to analyze and cleanup the AppData area?

I was shocked to see how large my AppData area has gotten since the Win7 installation. I'm finding it hard to believe that everything in there is still "in play". Is there a way to do a safe, examined cleanup of these directories?

the only folder whose contents are safe to remove is AppData\Local\Temp.
even more safe is to do this with disk cleanup tool.
