Issue with Program constantly installing on Startup

Every time I boot up my system, I have a program start to install itself. (The Missing Sync from MarkSpace) The first time through, I followed the instructions and it worked and I had the program. The next time I booted, it wanted to run through the install steps again before booting up; as it has done every time I start.
I have tried uninstalling the program, and reinstalling it. I have deleted it from the startup folder. It is not listed in the the start up or boot tabs in msconfig. I have also run Registry Mechanic to clean up the system. It is still there on boot. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I am not a beginner with computers, but I am by no stretch well versed.

Thanks.

Thanks for replying. Let me make sure I understand. The program is currently installed. Are you suggesting I right click the install file? Should i uninstall again? The problem is that even though it is installed, it keeps trying to install with every start up. Sorry if i am being slow on the up take.

It seems the program has installed however the installer thinks otherwise, So if you install in compatibility mode everything should install where it should. Uninstall the program first so it dosn't keep trying to install like it is now also you will know if everything worked or not after!!

Let us know how it goes

I did as you suggested and I am still back where i was, with the program trying to install during the boot. Any other thoughts? I did not have this issue with this program previously.

Install and run registry cleaner. Go to STARTUP ORGANIZER and find if the program is still listed under startup. This is because Reg Cleaner can identify some hidden startup items.

If that doesn't work, backup ur registry and run a Registry scan :)

Any of the above should work !

I ran it and the program is not listed under Startup and there was no reference to it in any of the errors found during cleaning. Other thoughts?

Ok we can try further solutions now:

* Uninstall the program completely.
* Check and delete any folders from C:/Program Files
* Restart the computer and check if it still appears.
* If not, go to the setup file. Set the Compatibility properties to "Windows Vista SP 2".
* Again run the installation as ADMINISTRATOR

This would resolve the issue :)
