Issues logging into Windows.

When I rebooted, I did get to the Boot Options menu. There was an option that said "directory Services Restore MOde" ( not other options for PC restore. WHen I clicked on that option, it brought me up to the desktop in safe mode. that's it.

When i got into the sytem recovery, Microsoft start up repair tool, the repair tool did a quick scan and then back to back to the main screen of the repair tool. Booted back up into windows 7 no problem, and tried to download a word file from my email and it didnt work.

I got into the Recover Manager by pressing the ESC button. Went to the screen that said I need help Immediately and I'ld like to take precautions. Under the I need help immediately I selected the Microsoft startup Repair tool. It did a scan of about 10 seconds, and stopped. Never gave me an option to select a user account.

Log into a working profile and create a recovery disc using the Recovery software . If you click on :orb: type RECOVERY inside the Search programs and files box you should have an option that says Create recovery disc . You will need a DVD +r or a -r disc . It should create 2-3 discs in total .

Then read the OEM tutorial to create a clean Windows 7 installation

GilV37,

Hope I am not too late...

Whatever the setting or issue is, it is not in the hidden built-in elevated Administrator account, but, on the User profile.

A clean User profile might work...nothing to lose at this point.

Use Option One: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/181024-user-account-create.html
In step #5, after typing a name for the User account, select: Administrator account
Then click on: Create Account

When all done with Option One, log in to the new User account, and see if you can download SystemLook once again.
