Solved Itunes & Adobe Reader will not open

Problem started yesterday. My Itunes and Adobe reader would not open when I clicked on their icon. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and it didn't help. have tried the system more than an hour. I have windows 7 home premium edition and apparently I can't do a restore that will go back a few days. How can this not be possible? With XP you could go back 2 weeks or more. Now I can't seem to uninstall anything and the new driver program I installed also won't open. Now is this a mess or what??

I recommend before anything else full scans with free malwarebytes, free SuperAntiSpyware and free MSE. POst back and tell us what the results are. If your post is moved, it will still show where you posted it for a while. You can just click on it and you will be taken to where it was moved.

Is your hard drive full? That could expplain your lack of restore point, or you have done a Disk Clean up and delted all but your most recent. Win7 will store as many restores as you allocate/have space for

Thanks James .... I tried the free malwarebytes, it downloaded but wouldn't open. I took a time out and came back and went to Microsoft. I downloaded Microsoft Safety Scanner & did a scan. lo and behold there were two malware problems & I hit fix. Voila...all of a sudden the programs I couldn't open started to pop up. James it was your suggestion that kinda tweaked my thought process, as to where I needed to go. So again, Thanks!

Hi Britton... Have a huge hard drive & approx 80% free. I managed to solve the problem with my programs that wouldn't open. ( Microsoft Safety Scanner resolved these issue ) yeah!!

Getting back to System Restore. Not sure how to set my System restore settings. Todate, System restore only allows me to go back an hour or two. I have Windows 7. Any suggestions??
