(Sorry if this is in the wrong board, didn't exactly know where to post it)

Hey guys I'm new to the forums, should be interesting as I'm new to Windows 7 (previously used XP and Vista) so I can learn things about my new OS.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit version which came pre-installed on my Dell computer.

Now the question:
I have some Japanese music on my harddrive, the title names are Japanese. However, this Japanese text is shown as squares in the folder. Windows Vista (Home Premium, 32-bit) always showed the Japanese text correctly so I don't know what the problem is.
Is there a way to show the Japanese text?

PS: I already tried setting the system local language to Japanese, reboot and then set it back to Dutch and then the Japanese text showed correctly but after a few days the text became squares again.

Thank you for your help,
Robin

Japanese fonts

I read all the advice here and then decided to pursue it myself.
I found a free Japanese font - there are several on the Net
and installed it.
I highlighted my white boxes and changed to the new font.
Bingo!!
Thought this might work for others - I used Serif Page Plus.
Regards to all
