.jpeg not listed in default programs

Having problem with graphics not showing up in email (Windows Live and Thunderbird). I have tried at least ten suggestions from internet but no help. Found that .jpeg is not listed in default -- is this a problem and/or how do I make it show?

You could try restoring the default file association - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html

OK, that worked -- .jpeg now shows in Default Files but that, evidently, was not the cause of some graphics not displaying in email. Here is an example ....
