If you have the older bracket just take some tin snips and cut out every other metal strand for more exhaust. It is sort of like running a flowmaster on your video card. You just don't get the thrill of the rumble sound!

Well for the EVGA lifetime warranty, this is the only route. Mod the bracket and the warranty is null/void.

From what I can tell, EVGA will be sending out free brackets to all registered users. The backplates, can be bought and will be coming soon.

Yes, 480 evga owners will be getting the free bracket. I'll post here when they announce it.

I think i will be waiting for the 485. That is, if the 495 will be a single-card, then ill get the 495. Does the 480 have a HDMI output? Is there a difference between HDMI and DVI or VGA?
