Win update doesn't discern installation order & sometimes updates, which may display prerequisites fail. Why M$ does this, your guess is as good as mine.

If you wish to uninstall both updates and reinstall them in the order you stated, open elevated (administrator) command prompt (CMD).

To do so, Start ORB, searchbox type cmd, right click cmd, choose run as administrator.
enter, or copy and paste with mouse-clicks, you cannot CTRL + C in CMD

wusa /uninstall /KB:4088875 /quiet /norestart

wusa /uninstall /KB:4099950 /quiet /norestart

order doesn't matter
Note: colon in DOS command
reboot
Install updates with stand-alone-installers

As i read it run only vbs script, which can normaly be used after patch. See convecience rollup page.

Just tried uninstalling and reinstalling those KBs
KB4088875 error message, KB4088875 does not apply to this computer.
Apparently, M$ contradicted themselves, once again!

Happy Computing!
Happy Easter!

That is reason why i never uninstall any widows update. It broke whole system, only one way is restore system from backup image. But i dont think it is nesscesary, because everything work fine. I think MS says install before this patch because you not lose your static ip.

Also update 4099950 is the same as VBS script for convencience rollup.
And MS says when you can use this script:

1. Immediately before installing the Convenience Rollup.

2. Immediately after installing the Convenience Rollup but before restarting the following update installation.

3. After installing Convenience Rollup 3125574 and after restarting even though the computer is in a problem state. In this situation, another restart will be required after the script is run.

This VBS script will delete HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\PCI\<deviceid>\<subdeviceid>\Device Parameters\SlotPersistentInfo
