Solved KDlinks HD720 Asking for username and password

You keep ppking the PC :p

What does the above line refer to; anyway, all seems to be back to normality for now. I will run a full check on it later on this morning. Auto-logon for the PC is good, and I am ok with the Media player access now.

Thanks again. I will mark this thread as solved once I do the final tests.

Make several access attempts from Media player to PC and all were successful. I still do not know what caused the issue this time. Thanks for assistance.

Here we go again RE Kdlinks

Just a continuation of my ongoing issue with the Kdlinks 720HD media player networking to windows 7.

Everything looked like it was resolved with a lot of input from this forum and GokAy . What I was trying to accomplish was to access my PC from the media player via a hardwired network. The media player allows me to save as a favorite the required username and password.

For the second time this access has failed. I shut down the PC prior October 10 2015, packed up the media player and went down to Arizona USA, coming back in January. The media player was connected to a TV in our motorhome and was only updated with files from my laptop via a usb3 cable. Access via another network did not happen.

On return I tried to access the updated Windows 7 PC and once again logon failed. The only way I could get access back was to go back in through NETPLWIZ and change the password that was previously set up in user accounts / media. Now all is running again and I can look into and move around and access iso files at will.

So, my question is, what could cause this to re-occur again. Gotta be a reason.
