Solved Keyboard acting funny problem.

Suddenly my laptop keyboard adds a slash in front of a "d" /d and does other wired things like the enter-key and delete-key are acting funny.

The keyboard otherwise looks intact. I temporarily added a USB-keyboard for in between, which works fine.

How to get rid of this particular problem ?

Have you ever dropped any liquid on the keyboard?
If an external keyboard works fine, I would say you should buy a new laptop keyboard.

hey Mega, you're probably right that humidity causes a malfunction, the air is quite humid lately here. but still there was no spill and I'm hoping that it's just a reset thing to get the keyboard working again properly, without a whole new keyboard purchase and install.

I did a keyboard reset via language change and restart but that didn't help and its really funny how the keyboard is acting since the morning.

Don't think it's a logical issue that you can fix it by software. I still think it's a hardware issue.
I once had a similar problem. I took the keyboard out and put it on the refrigerator (where the air is very dry), left for a month and it began to work properly.

ya i c, good idea. think after biz time i take out the keyboard and put it in the oven with 50° C for an hour )

Do you live near the sea?
Be careful with temperatures. Some plastic deforms at "low" temperatures.

... i finally ended up doing nothing and it works again )
