I have been trying to install a new 6150 printer from Kodak. I keep getting an error that says "error 0x00000057" and also "The Arguments are Invalid". I am running Win7 sp1 Ultimate with Office 2010. The printer is an All in One and it sure would be nice to get it working. I have tried to install it as a network printer but gave up. Now I am trying to install it as a USB but having the same problem. I called Kodak but after about 1/2 hour of them working remotely on my computer, they decided that it is a problem with the computer. This is my 3 day of trying to get it to work.
Any help would be great. Thanks, Joe

Hello Joe

What drivers are you using? and are you installing the drivers before connecting the printer as per Kodaks instruction?

Installation Instructions

  1. Verify that your computer meets the system requirements.
    note.gif
NOTE: WINDOWS XP 64-bit Operating System is not supported.
  2. Disconnect your all-in-one printer from your computer.
  3. Verify that you logged on to the computer using the administrator account.
  4. Close all programs.
  5. Download the software onto your computer.
  6. Double-click the *.exe file, then follow the on-screen instructions.
  7. When the installation is complete, connect your all-in-one printer to your computer.
  8. Select Start > Programs > Kodak > Kodak AiO Home Center.
The newest x64 drivers I could find are here; KODAK All-in-One Printer Home Center Software (including drivers) - WINDOWS Operating Systems

I hope this helps

Thank you, but I did follow all the directions given several times. :D
It just doesn't want to install it. I am able to ping it and I have used Adobe to use the scan portion I just can't get rid of the yellow triangle with the exclamation mark in it. I tried the trouble shooting program but still to no avail. Joe

Thank you. I almost always run in the Admin mode. I got a real hair and removed all the printer (HP 6P) which was also on the network. Now I get the same errors as I did with the Kodak. Now I have no working printer. I might have to give up on the idea of running my home network. Joe

Telling people to go to the 'official' website and download the 'official' drivers is moronic. The download is 12Mb and is meant to itself connect and download the 500Mb software to install it. --This won't work if their server is down.

I couldn't install from the website download but it installed fine from my CD-Rom that came with the Kodak AIO 6150. Here's a link to the install CD ISO. UK version 5.1, it requires 7-zip to extract the ISO, if you install WinCDEmu just double-click on the ISO file and it will ask you for a drive to 'mount' the volume to... then just open setup.exe
