"LAN doesn't have a valid IP Config"

Hey guys'n'gals

Im part (well, used to be untill 5 minutes ago...) of the group of people who have seen the same issues with "Lan doesn't have a valid IP Config". Ive seen the different options of solving this little tickle, but like so many others i haven't found any online FYI solutions come to fruition.

Some of the specs and setups differ offcourse, but it seems that the core problem with not being able to connect to a internet connection is a common ground we share here..

Anyway, i would like to share how i solved the problem with you in the hope that it will be of help to some of you out there.

- I recently updated my motherboard to a Asus P5Q, with with the onboard NIC/Network adaptor(s) being: Marvell Yukon 88E8056 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller.

Connection came back after my ISP sent a new signal out which changed/renewed my MAC address. Somehow the new motherboard messed up the MAC address that was assigned to my particular internet line.

Hopefully this may help some out there...Good luck!
