Latest CCleaner Version Released

Hi guys,

Just did a clean install of Win 7 RC...... every time i've installed a new version CCleaner finds a ton of "registry errors".... are these safe to delete?

I'd create a system restore point and then create a registry backup.

I haven't been using CC reg cleaner because I have been testing the Glaryutilities Reg cleaner module - I run it every day with zero issues.

Glary is very gentle - I just ran it and immediately followed that with a scan using Ccleaner - it found these:




I won't be removing those entries.

As far as I know, Glary's utilities only works on x32. What are the x64 bit users going to use?

Hi Nick. They're just bug fix updates mostly for people that use Firefox.

with the last few builds does everyone else get a very long time to run the clean?
mine stalls at 5% and takes much longer than it used to - this is on my desktop and laptop (index.dat for ie to be precise) - is where it takes much longer than usual

Just a heads up. After running CC, 'Task Scheduler' (off of Admimistrative Tools) get's errors when you fire it up. I haven't tried to nail down the files that are deleted since even a System Restore doesn't fix it. Luckily I made a System Image before I ran CC.

I've got no problems with Task scheduler or any other off of Admin tools after running it. :huh:

Well.... there are a lot of options to tick off. Perhaps you haven't found the unlucky one.

Also I use the additional ini file.

very nice program and one of the first I load after a fresh OS install. it always finds a truck load of "trash" on a newly installed OS, dunno why. it hasn't given me any trouble, though. good app!
