Hi Guys

I just tried to install Windows 7 64 bit on my fairly new Lenovo 110S laptop. It has a small 32 gig SSD on board that cant be removed and a dual core Celeron. It came with windows 10 and has no Win 7 drivers anywhere.

After a bit of fussing I got the install to to go on, I did a quick format of the partition and it look good until the first reboot.

Then the ancix64.exe driver failed during start up and causes a BSOD. It looks to be the SSCI driver. I get the 0X0000007B error code.

I did use a up dated ISO image that should have most of the new drivers.

The problem now is I cant get windows to anything besides to try to finish the install. Safe mode always runs the driver and I cant get to recovery because it wants to finish the install.

I need a way to boot and remove the ANCIX64 driver or to wipe the drive and clean up the MBR so I can try a fresh install.

I have a few ISO's, one for 32 bit and 64 bit Win 7 and a windows 10 32 bit but none of the images will let me boot from the flash drive they just brig me to the windows 7 recovery window.

Thanks guys

Dave

It has a small 32 gig SSD

It is probably an emmc disk Storage Device.

the ancix64.exe driver failed during start up

ahcix64.sys is an AMD AHCI Compatible RAID Controller Driver

I did use a up dated ISO image that should have most of the new drivers.

Which iso is that?

no Win 7 drivers anywhere.

Download Lenovo ideapad 110S-11IBR laptop drivers for Windows 7 x64

Hit the download button on the right for each driver. You will download some .exe files. You can extract them with 7-zip to get the drivers.

You can borrow my boot media. Make a bootable usb of it. Boot it up. It contains windows explorer, disk management, regedit, and lots of other tools.

Looks like this is the emmc (SD storage device) driver
Intel(R) Atom(TM)/Celeron(R)/Pentium(R) Processor SD Host Controller

You could use my boot media. On the desktop is dism++. You can use that to uninstall the ahcix64.sys (AMD AHCI Compatible RAID Controller Driver).

Then use it to install the iaiosd ( intel emmc ) drivers.

Here are the Baytrail and Braswell drivers View attachment Braswell_EMMC_driverx86-x64.zip

This is the program to update Win 7 ISO.

Windows 7 Image Updater - SkyLake\KabyLake\CoffeLake\Ryzen Threadripper - VideoHelp Forum

I have a OEM Win-7 64 to make a ISO and a 32 bit but the 32 does not have SP1 so they say it's a no go.

As for Win7 drivers I looked at Lenovo's site and all the help was like, don't do it and we cant help you and 7 wont work. They only had Win10 drivers. Searching for drivers on the web is a total pain. So many spam sites it's just not worth it unless you really know where to go. It looks like your do.

I have not looked vary close about the ANCI driver. A quick look showed that is was AMD but it looked like is was used for other devices. It was just the last driver loading before it crashed, always the same point.

I'm guessing your correct on the EMMC drive too. I took a quick look inside and you don't have a SSD inside but do have a slot.

I just need the computer to run a machine. No internet needed and I don't need it to update ever, just not crash and not start scanning any time it wants.

SWI2, your help is way better than I expected and I will try the links and a fresh install tomorrow.

Your tag like is great too.

Thanks

Dave

Yes, I am familiar with Atak's updater. :-)

I suggest you remove the AMD driver and install the Intel one, as posted in my last post.

Maybe because the Intel emmc driver is missing from Atak's., Windows is trying to load the AMD emmc driver instead.

Your boot disk works but don't see the EMMC drive. I see C which is the boot USB drive and a drive X of 500 meg.

No 32 gig drive.

Did you look in device manager? Did you look in disk management? Did you run pnputil ALL ( the link is under the start menu.)

If you still can't see the drive, then:

Try loading the Intel emmc driver I provided. Unzip it onto the usb stick. Then boot into my media and load the driver.

You might need to refresh explorer after loading the driver.

I still don't see the EMMC drive.

I tried to run the Intel driver but I'm not sure the exact category it should be in. It installed as a storage device driver. I was looking at the unknown device list and dont see anything that looks like the HD controller. What do they call the EMMC device driver or controller?

Is the controller part of the Intel CPU or a chip set part if they still do that?

Either way how do you add the Intel driver to the ISO so it will install during the next install?

Thanks
