So the computer I have right now takes at least 3-7 minutes to do a shut down. Which is kinda ridiculous, I have made sure all drivers are up to date even the BIOS, all windows updates installed, and also tried clean boot by disabling all startup items, and all services except Microsoft, I also tried the normal boot option and that did not work,

any ideas guys?

--edit--

yes it is windows 7 64 bit

--edit 2--

i also tried this and it did not work http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/717-shut-down-speed-up.html

Hello and welcome regios mate please ru these for starters
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2
if no go then these
SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!
Malwarebytes | Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium
AdwCleaner Download
ADW download from bleeping computer delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
NB Users of Kaspersky AV may have to disable the app while using ADW because it does not like it !!

Then take a look at point 16 in this http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/11728-optimize-windows-7-a.html and in my pic shows how you reduce the time to kill (shut down) time - run as admin it is in that tutorial I just cannot find the point but there is heaps of other stuff you might find handy.

But if I were you do a back up of the reg before you start anything http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/4230-registry-backup-restore.html I usually back the whole thing up;)

But do the scans first!
