Mozilla being the center pin for most of the FF variants may or may not continue on with the Adobe Flash at all.
MS on the other hand has been filling their online store up with the most popular open source apps like VLC Player as well to have some popular freebies there to draw in more to the store itself being one of the first tiles you see in 10's Start menu. That also comes prepinned to the taskbar along with Cortana and the Task View button for multiple desktops being a new feature being brought in as well.
Here I simply ended up grabbing an OEM disk from Newegg that was seeing a Black Friday discount like $60 off! the regular MSRP and won't have to worry about any problem with the overdue clean install of 7 coming up again! Been holding off on that while checking 10 out since last summer. Start up time can be slow at times when you have quite a bit running trying everything out being the new kid on the MS block to say.

I still have those ISOs 'in stock'. They are all from last year. If anybody needs one of them, I will be glad to upload it to e.g. OneDrive.
Btw (re LBs question) - I think there are 2 main reasons why there is not more use of Linux
for one most people grew up with Windows because that was always the default. Linux is different and many people do no like to warm up their brain cells.
And second - there are too many Linux distros. It is hard to find the one distro that suits you.

Actually you can find the latest floating around numerous sites as it is! Why bother with last year's unless you have a specific reason and need the older release? As for the "Flavor of the Month" OS you don't have to wait long before the next one comes out anyways!

Most of the linux discussions in our forum that I see is about Mint, which is not very different than Windows. I dont see the discussions about RedHat or Ubuntu which are different.
Any "distro" of windows suits better than any linux for anybody. So people use Windows, post in windows forums, becomes microsoft's MVP and etc.
I think there is only one reason why there is not more use of linux. It is not worthy.
If anybody want to contradict me, please establish your point by your work. Go throw windows away, use only linux for all your daily works .... as I use windows for my everything and dont find any need to use linux at all.
We are all creatures of habit. If all PCs that are sold would come with Linux in lieu of Windows, we would not have this discussion. There is absolutely no proof that Linux is less worthy than Windows.

I just found some info reading the cached Linux mint blog, according to a commenter, some mirrors may have been comprised as well. That is a little concerning, this could affect other distros as well.
Here is a quote in case you can't using google cache
Just downloaded two copies of the 64 bit Cinnamon from the Oceania links for University of Canterbury and Xnet both are coming up with the same incorrect md5sum (7d590864618866c225ede058f1ba61f0) – So of course I have not installed. (Time NZST 15.50 Date 21 Feburary 2016)
How long before we can get a trusted download here in NZ?
Edit by Clem: That’s the MD5SUM of the hacked ISO alright. The server was taken down until we know it’s safe again. I’m sorry I can’t give you an ETA.

I think Linux is like a beautiful mountain peak. You may go there for a trekking, but will not be ready to leave there forever despite of all its beauty.
As I said - we are creatures of habit. And John does no know what he is talking about. I wounder how many Linux distros he has running. I do most of my internet business with Mint Mate and never had a problem.

The only way I had it installed was on it's own ssd
It was okay did some good work with Audacity and KB3 burning music cd's
It ended up eating a 120.us ssd though so i'm not all that happy with mate now
But on the same token I'm not all that happy with Crucial either especially if they don't send me a new one for free
