I've set up Live Mail on my laptop (Windows 7 Home) which I use as ancillary to my desktop on which I use Windows Mail (Vista). All emails received appear on my
desktop Mail account, but only some of them appear on my laptop Live Mail account.
What is the reason for this and is there some way that I can setup so that all emails
appear on both the desktop and laptop computers?

Have you tried logging into your Email Client (Hotmail, aol ...etc) Via a Web Browser and check all your Emails are there. It could be a synchronisation problem.

Many Thanks,
Josh

You failed to mention whether the mail "Account" is pop3, imap, or http. Usually with multiple computers you need an email provider that allows you to use imap, which leaves the mail on the server. POP3 by default downloads the mail and deletes it from the server unless you check the individual account option (advanced tab) in WLM to "leave a copy of messages on server".

Thanks!

Thanks, roncerr! My email provider is a pop3 account and, after making a couple of tweaks in my settings, everything seems to be working just fine.
