Lock Icon on User Account

I'm having trouble sharing files with other accounts on my computer. I think it has something to do with the lock icon that appears on the lower left corner of my user account name. How can I get rid of this?

I have seen many problems with members trying to change permissions on system files. Be sure of the file contents, then:
Give permission
