Locked out of Administrator HELP

Hi! I just changed my password on the administrator account yesterday. When I turned on my computer today and tried to log in I keep getting invalid password. I wrote my password down to make sure I wouldn't forget it. I tried my old password and still nothing. The guest account is off so I can't even get on through there. There was only one user acct. The computer is custom built. Is there anything I can do? I don't have the usb backup thing either.

If anyone has any suggestions it's greatly appreciated. I don't know a whole lot about this computer so if you could kinda break it down barney style i'd appreciate that too.

Lets start with this. You probably made an error when you typed in the password during the change.
