I have an issue with my logitech z-5500.
I just upgraded to win7 pro and in realteks audio setup I can hear sound from all my speakers when I have the control unit on 6ch direct. But when I use any kind of mediaplayer it comes out in stereo.
I used to run winXP and never had the same problem. I also had realtek drivers then and had it set on 5.1 in the setup. And no matter the mediaplayer I used in XP it always came out of all speakers when I had the controlbox on 6ch direct.

I use the onboard sound on my computer.
It's a Asus P8H61-M Pro Rev 3 motherboard.
In the manual it says it's got an ALC887 8-channel high definition audio codec.

How can I get it to play on all speakers?? plz help.

I just looked at my RealTek Audio Manager and there wasn't anything in there about surround sound other than the speaker configuration. That has to be a function of the media programs. I have seen others complain about this problem but I don't recall what the fix - if any - for this.
