Long-term crashing

For what feels like forever my main PC has been crashing every so often. Most of the time it'll just restart, but occasionally (about half a dozen out of about 100 times) I get a BSOD.

Two other oddities are that once it knocked power to the CPU fan out (so when it restarted I got scary red letters telling me my sytem was shutting down to stop it being permamently damage) and once when it crashed my Xbox simultaneously kicked into life across the room!

Windows version is Enterprise x64 (upgraded from bundled Home Premium x64). I've had the machine for just about 12 months now, current version of the OS was installed late last year. I think, but can't remember 100% accurately, that it was crashing before I upgraded.

What's wrong with Kaspersky?
Kaspersky in many cases conflicts with the system and gives BSOD and for now we try to minimize the chance for a new BSOD.
When we will find the solution for the BSOD and finish with that i will explain to you why and how :)
But for now please follow the steps in my first reply post!

Fair enough.

Can you tell me exactly what I'm doing with CCleaner? I've got options here to delete files or fix the registry - both? Neither & something else?

After each uninstallation,run ccleaner,registry,scan for issues,fix selected issues,finish,restart.
Thats way you clean any remaining fragments from the uninstalled software/driver,fragments cause problems.
(if you like do a registry backup before the fix selected issues )

Okay, that's done. I guess I'll wait and see what happens. The crashes are pretty random, and can be up to a week apart.

Ok,let us know for the results.
A good idea is,from time to time take a look on cpu and system temps in BIOS.

Hello again

Crashed again Wednesday night - different error message "Page fault in non page area". Reports attached.

I used to use HW monitor to keep an eye on temperatures but never noticed anything overheating. Of course, I've never managed to be looking at it at the exact moment it crashed, so whether there's a sudden heat surge I don't know.

One other random thing that happens every time it crashes is that it wipes out my cookies (or, at least, logs me out of absolutely every website).

This time the error is seehcri.sys, that is a Sony Ericsson error.
The Software driver installed in ur system is very old,is from 2008.
If you dont use that software any more uninstall it,clean with ccleaner, restart.
If you still use it,then,
Download the newest software/driver from http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads?cc=gb&lc=en uninstall, clean, restart, install the new software/driver,restart.
----------------------------
Extra check for <cleaning> the system,
Clean ur system with ccleaner, first use the cleaner tab and then the registry tab.
Then,
Download,install,update,scan with http://www.superantispyware.com/downloadfile.html?productid=SUPERANTISPYWAREFREE
Download,install,update,scan with http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
