I use the snipping tool, but it saves in .JPG .PNG etc., but the forum I want to upload to only accepts lowercase. Anyone know a way to get the snipping tool (which I like, as accuracy really isn't important to me) to save with lowercase extensions?

I don't see upper case filename as big issue since usually you give a filename anyway so you would just delete the extension and retype it.

PicPick is another good free one. it also has a ruler, protractor, color picker, magnifier, and whiteboard. and no, it does not over-crop.

looks like a great program that does exactly what i need but to run it on boot it also initiates the " User Account Control pop up and asks me if I want to allow this program to run "PicPick.exe""

question is what's the simplest way to get around this or do I have to disable UAC ??
