lost data

i saved a bunch of data to a portable hard disk - all in the root directory. i also installed an app-usb secure-which controls the hard disk. since the data was so mixed up, i created some folders to organize it. now can't open the hard disk-when i try, i get an error message "application not found". so i think i moved the security app by accident. any ideas on how to open the hd and/or retrieve the data?

Have you tried re-installing USB Secure?

You might want to clean up your folder and registry the best you can beforehand, or see if "Remove Programs" will function, first. Other wise reinstall to the same location as before.
